The champion of so many other aviation legends through his site aviationwriter.org, it is now, sadly, our turn to acknowledge Trevor's life.

Trevor was a prolific traveller and writer, with a keen interest in both aviation and the tremendous people that pioneered it. In 2020, he kindly shared with us his experience of a Spitfire flight at Biggin Hill, and spoke of his friendship with Chief Spitfire Test Pilot the late Alex Henshaw MBE. You can read this account here: A Boyhood Dream Comes True. Such detailed and personal accounts of his travels are his signature, and will live on through his wife Lesley, family and friends.

My friendship with Trevor was one I prized and we were due to catch up later this month after his and Lesley's long awaited ship cruise. He will forever have my respect and admiration for his dedicated work capturing and sharing the Spitfire legacy. My thoughts and thanks, with those of the Spitfire Association patrons, committee and wider membership, go to Lesley and family. While he'd never say it, Trevor was one of the greats.
