Keith was born on the 21/2/1914 in Kalgoorlie, WA.

He enlisted on the 9/12/1940 and after training as a fighter pilot was posted to a Spitfire Squadron. Keith served also with No 450 RAAF squadron in the Western Desert, North Africa from May 1942.

Just one month later he was shot down during a sortie and became a Prisoner of War 26/6/1942.

When peace was declared Keith made his way back home and was eventually discharged on the 27/11/1945.

There is very little information on Keith and his time as a POW but his contribution to the war effort was significant as can be seen from the letter regarding his Air Force Reserve status which was terminated in September 1960.

Handwritten notes regarding Keith's time as a P.O.W.

These stories are maintained to show our respect for the pilots, ground crew, design engineers and all who were involved with the Spitfire. In many cases, the information has been collected from the personal interactions between our members and the pilots and crew featured, and on many occasions, this process happened much later in the veterans' lives.
